PRAISE FOR DIONISIO BLANCO
"If an ignorant person, with a language barrier, contemplates Dionisio Blanco’s works, he could very well be recreated and perhaps write the best of poems. This is in addition to venerating the hands of the painter."—Evgueni Evtushenko, Russian Poet, 1984

"When he paints figures in a landscape (those extraordinary Caribbean landscapes),the relevant theme that encompasses the best of Dionisio Blanco’s work, not only do his exquisite sensitivity and emotional power emerge, but also his virtuoso masteryy of the chromatic range, his amazing blues, shaded greens, resounding redsand joyous yellows.

In addition to their sensitivity and emotion, his seemingly simple compositions undoubtedly reveal a skilled artist who has been able to assimilate the historical avant-garde movement and to synthesize its teachings into a style all his own, one that, above and beyond his subjects, has become truly unmistakable."—Maria Lluisa Borras, Member of the International Association of Art Critics, Barcelona, Spain 1997

"The sowing of seeds is a metaphorical reality in the vast human destiny and mankind’s fortune within life¹s cosmic rhythm. Dionisio Blanco’s sowers identify withsoil, seeds and earth, as well as with the energy that drives them."—Dennis Wepman, Art Critic, New York Daily News

"With wisdom, the artist never descends to the trivial. On the contrary, through bravery and loyalty to a true craftsmanship, he begins to justify himself within his own reason and prediction. Dionisio Blanco creates in his works metaphors that are redeeming and truly fulfilling."

—Armando Alvarez Bravo, Art Critic, The Miamii Herald
